In short
KopiBank is a product of ARUT's author. We aim to compare fairly, but keep that interest in mind.
- KopiBank fits if you want a US dollar virtual card for online shopping and phone payments and you already hold USDT.
- An exchange card is handy if you already keep money on that exchange and it issues cards in your country.
- P2P to a bank card works when you need local currency in your own account, or cash.
- A crypto ATM is the edge case: cash fast, usually at a high price.
- We do not quote other providers' fees: they change often. Compare on your own route.
Comparison table
| KopiBank | Exchange card | P2P to a bank card | Crypto ATM | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| What you get | Virtual Visa/Mastercard in USD | A card linked to your exchange balance | Money in your bank account | Cash |
| KYC | Required | Usually required | On the exchange, yes; your bank has its own checks | Depends on country and amount |
| Cash | No | Often yes | Yes, via your bank | Yes |
| Apple Pay / Google Pay | Yes on two of three cards; unclear on the third | Depends on exchange and country | Through your own bank card | No |
| Who holds the money | The service | The exchange | You, in your bank, after the trade | You, in hand |
| Main risk | Blocks, country limits, trusting the service | Account freeze, country limits | Scam counterparty, bank questions about transfers | Wide spread, scams around machines |
| Speed | Minutes after KYC | Minutes, once you have the card | Minutes to hours per trade | Instant if a machine is nearby |
Who should choose what
KopiBank. You need a card for subscriptions, services, bookings and phone payments, and your income or savings are in USDT. You have passed KYC and you are not in a restricted country. You top up for planned spending.
Exchange card. You trade actively on one exchange, keep a balance there, and it issues cards for your country. No moving money between services. Downside: all your eggs in one basket.
P2P to a bank card. You live where you have a bank card and want local currency in your account. This is the classic off-ramp. Upside: from there you use a normal bank card, ATMs included.
Crypto ATM. You need cash now and a machine is close. Usually the most expensive route because of the spread and fees.
Other virtual crypto cards. The same product class as KopiBank. Compare them with the checklist: top-up fee, networks, limits, countries, Apple Pay, support.
KopiBank's downsides
- No cash. None of the cards on sale can withdraw money at an ATM.
- Long country lists. The cards do not work in Russia or Belarus, and Visa Universe is also blocked in about 60 countries and territories, including Turkey, Cyprus, Armenia and Serbia.
- The top-up fee is not disclosed in the help center. The tariff has a field with the numbers 2 and 3.5 and no explanation.
- Moving money from the card back to crypto only works through support, from 100 USD, with a 1% fee.
- Authorization and decline fees. Visa Universe and Mastercard Business charge 0.50 USD per authorization, plus decline fees.
- No PIN: some terminals will refuse the card, so you pay by phone or at another till.
- KopiBank's sources disagree with each other: limits, Apple Pay on Visa E-commerce and the KYC requirements read differently on the website and in the help center.
- It is third-party custody, like any crypto card. See custodial wallet.

Pitfalls of the alternatives
- Exchange card: the exchange can stop issuing cards in your country or close the programme. Money on an exchange is also third-party custody.
- P2P: the main risks are scammers who reverse a payment or send tainted money, and your bank asking about frequent incoming transfers. Trade with verified sellers inside the exchange's escrow and do not move the chat elsewhere.
- Crypto ATM: the rate is often a noticeable spread away from the market, no-KYC limits can be small, and scammers hang around machines offering to help you send money.
- Any other card: the same questions as for KopiBank. Who is the issuer, which countries, what a top-up costs, whether you can get money back out.
Pick in five minutes
- Need cash? Then P2P to your own bank card, or an exchange card that works at ATMs.
- Need online and phone payments in dollars? A virtual crypto card such as KopiBank, or an exchange card.
- Check the option works in your country and in the country you are travelling to.
- Add up the full cost for your usual amount: top-up + conversion + withdrawal.
- Keep two routes, not one. If one gets blocked, the other saves you.
To try KopiBank: issue a card.
Questions and answers
Is a crypto card better than selling USDT on P2P?
A card is more convenient for online shopping and phone payments. P2P is better when you need local currency in your own account, or cash.
Can I withdraw cash with KopiBank?
No. For cash, use P2P to your own bank card, an exchange card that works at ATMs, or a crypto ATM.
How is KopiBank different from an exchange card?
KopiBank is a separate service: you top up the card with USDT for planned spending. An exchange card usually spends from your exchange balance. Terms, countries and fees differ for each.
Why don't you compare specific exchanges' fees?
They change often and depend on your country. Compare on your own route and check tariffs on the official websites.
